I got this idea from makinglearningfun.com which is a site that Beth turned me on to. It is a great site, especially for Pre-k and K level. I did modify it just a little as I usually do. You can print the blank popcorn WS from the site then they suggest making flashcards with your words. The students pull a card and then "butter" (highlight) the popcorn that has that word on it. I had a programmable popcorn pattern that I got from themailboxcompanion.com so I programmed the popcorn cards with my words. They seemed to love buttering the popcorn today. I found the popcorn tub for $1 at the Dollar Tree. I think it really adds to the center.
