I have a unit for the 100th day of school that is a Rodeo theme. Each year we have a 100th Day Rodeo in first grade. This is my 6th year to do this unit and each year more and more is added to my file, both from new finds from the net and my colleagues add to it as well. Each year, I ask each student to bring in a collection of 100 things. I have had some pretty interesting collections throughout the years, but this year I had a girl to bring in 100 smiles! This is my favorite so far. She cut out pictures from magazines, books, and some photographs of people, animals, and characters smiling. How creative!!!!! I couldn't resist sharing this with you. I know this collection took lots of time and she was so proud of it. She especially loved the pictures of herself and family she included. We also had a grandparent to make us a 100 cupcake cake. How cool!
