This is an easy Spelling activity that I like to do with my long o oa words (for boat) or sometimes I do it with my long a ai words (for sail). Just depends on when I think of it:) Students will just need a blank piece of paper, a list of their Spelling words, and crayons. I do have to model several so they can get the hang of it. I have them line up the letters adding one more letter each time they go down to a new row and then when the whole word is spelled they draw a triangle around the letters to make the sail. Then they make the boat at the bottom. It makes them really think of how to spell each word. I love this little girl's boats. She is such a little artist.
