We have had sooooo many snow days lately and on one of those many days, I decided that when we finally went back to school, I wanted to do a graphing lesson on the book The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. We read the story and then talked about the things that Peter did in the snow. The students came to the front of the room and graphed whether they did the same as Peter. We even included Peter on our graphs (this was their idea:) and I loved it!) We used cottonballs to make it look like snowballs. It was "snow" much fun and it was a way for them to share with the class the fun times they had in the snow while learning too.
