Kid Made Pinatas
One of my co-workers had her students make their own little pinatas and I LOVED them. They were so cute and easy. They look so real without all the glue and taking-forever-to-dry business. To make them, you fill white lunch bags with some candy, fold down the top, and staple shut. Give the students brightly colored strips of tissue paper and have them fringe one edge. Next, they glue the tissue paper in layers around the bag. Allow to dry, then punch two holes in the top and run your string through. Isn't this cool? Goes great with the story "Mama's Birthday Present."
