A friend of mine gave me this center as she is now teaching Pre-K. I love it! It would be very easy to make if you had a strawberry pattern (or you could draw one). I made a worksheet to go with it so the students had to write down the compound words that they made. The students loved the center.
I love it! This is such a great blog! I always love your ideas, so I'm happy that you are putting them up here for the world to see. So, do you have anything I can use in Kindergarten? My centers are getting boring for my kids, and the file folder games I had already made are too hard for them. Let me know if you have any ideas. I'm thinking about doing something with the strawberries, like putting the onset on one and the rime on the other, and then having them match them and write down the match. Like "b" on one and "ad" on the other to make "bad". I may need to do some kind of picture to go with it too. Maybe on the leaves. What do you think?
