On January 8, 2009 I attended a workshop put on by Linda Tilton, author of The Teacher's Toolbox. This was one of my favorite ideas she shared. This book can be made by your students without binding of anykind (no pesky staples, yarn, etc.). Hope you find it useful. She suggested using it for a vocabulary book, but the possibilities are endless. Let me know what you think.
Step 1: Take two pieces of paper and turn hot dog style (horizontally).

Step 2: Fold both pages in half from left to right.

Step 3: Open both pages and cut as black lines show on picture.

Step 4: Open both pages. Roll one side of pink page to form a taco shape(think soft shell taco).

Step 4: Tread taco through hole in green page. Unfold and you have your Fold-A-Book!
