First you bend a pipe cleaner into any letter or word you want. The magazine shows a name stamp. Then you cut 3 identical pieces of cardboard rectangles, about 1/2 inch wider than the pipecleaner word. Next line glue to the front of the namea nd press it on a piece of cardboard and trim excess cardboard.
Next, glue together the other 2 pieces of cardboard to make the stamp base. Let it dry, then press it onto a stamp pad.
Jill and I thought this was so cute for school. You could let the kids make their own name stamp, store it in ziplock baggie and let them stamp their name for "special occasions" instead of writing their name.
Other ideas: make stamps for story words, holiday words, or numbers or shapes.
