Snowball Scramble

As it has finally started to get cold around here, I have incorporated a snowy center this week. Our spelling words are really tricky so I made it a Spelling center. This also came from the Dec. 06-07 issue of The Mailbox Magazine. You program the snowman with your spelling word and then program the snowballs with each letter of the word. Scramble the snowballs beside the snowman. The students are to unscramble the snowballs to spell the word correctly. You know me, I then had my students write the words they made down on their paper so they would have a product to show me at the end of center time. Tip: Make some blank snowballs (which, luckily, I thought to do) because the first day my students lost a letter or two. You can then write on your blank, laminated snowballs with a sharpie.
